This workshop offers a
unique opportunity to join Amy Oxford, nationally recognized artisan, author
and inventor of the Oxford Punch Needle, in creating your very own beautiful
4" x 6" purse.
Nicknamed Òthe Mini,Ó the
Oxford Fine Work Punch Needle creates a handsome, short, 1/8" looped pile
that closely resembles needlepoint. Delightfully fast and easy, this tool may
be used with three-ply tapestry yarn, worsted weight knitting yarn, sock weight
yarn, baby weight knitting yarn and many similarly sized yarns.
You may bring your own yarn
(a great way to use up leftovers!) or choose from our beautiful selection of
hand-dyed solid and variegated yarns from the extraordinary Violet Jane dye
company in Underhill, Vermont.
You will have four designs
to choose from – a crewel-style floral, a dragonfly, geometric tribal
stars, or a moon and sun motif – or you are welcome to create your own
pattern. No previous experience with the Oxford Punch Needle is necessary.
Surprisingly addictive, this new ÒMiniÓ is creating quite a stir.
DonÕt forget to bring small,
sharp, pointed scissors and your creative spirit!
