Heidi A. Marshall

These images of Heidi's paintings do not do them justice. If you are interested in her work you owe it to your self to visit the gallery and see them directly. The colors in her pastels are positively brillant. Some of these works may have been sold but represent the variety and exceptional quality of Heidi's work.

Heidi A. Marshall was born in Detroit and grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and Düsseldorf, Germany. Her father was the Chief Illustrator for The Detroit News and her mother was a writer. She received a BFA from Albion College with a double major in Fine Arts (Painting & Printmaking) and English Literature. Heidi also earned an MFA from Wayne State University in English. After a successful career in advertising as a Senior Writer and Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam, Heidi left the ad world to spend time with her young son and return to painting. In 2016, Marshall had a solo exhibit at The University of Michigan. This summer her show at Three Pines Studio, is called Extraordinary Days. The exhibit speaks to the joy of painting en plein air in northern Michigan and how each venture out offers up something unexpected and enriching. Concurrent, she also has an exhibit at Crooked Tree Arts Center, called---Painting Grandeur: Journeys of a National Parks Artist. Marshall was awarded a National Parks Residency In California in 2013. Heidi lives in Petoskey. Her fiancé, Tom Bailey, is the Executive Director of The Little Traverse Conservancy. Her son, Parker Marshall, lives and works in Los Angeles.
